Pescetarian Lifestyle

I became a pescetarian April, 2012, meaning I haven't eaten any type of meat other than fish since then. This was a very personal choice that most people, especially my parents didn't think I'd see through. I'm proud to say for the first time in a long time I did see this one through. I became a pescetarian for a couple of different reasons.
In the first place the meat related foods I was eating were terrible for me. I'm a Southern girl whose used to barbeques and deep fried foods, of all types. Altough I still don't have the best eating habits I can say they've become much better. I honestly do feel better, health wise. The second reason, the reason my sister deems as silly is because I wanted a true sense of accomplishment. Maybe that is silly, to stop eating meat cold turkey, just to prove "I could do it", but it was such a rewarding feeling.
Both feelings are rewarding; knowing your eating much more healthier foods and the sense of pride in being able to do so, be able to say "I did it". If you'd like me to touch more on the subject of pescetarianism please let me know, I am only a humble servant here to serve c;
Using my favorite food porn blog, (check them out here), I compiled a photo strip of my personal favorite foods, since becoming a pescetarian. From top to bottom:
Baked Tilapia
Fruits on wheat bread, preferrably with Nutella!
Grilled Salmon
Fresh fruits
And the pièce de résistance CHEESE FRIES! (My guilty pleasure)
There are tons of other dishes, snacks and guilty pleasures I have, this was just a little glimpse; but if you'd like more food related posts just let me know! As I've said, my eating habits aren't the best, but they are an improvement. If you want to stop a bad eating habit I say start slow. I'm the lunatic who quit meat cold turkey! I definitely DON'T recommend quitting cold turkey, who knows how'll your body will react.
I bid you farewell with this baby:

    1. My sister suggested I still eat chicken, she thought I was being too drastic; but I'm happy with my choice! I could never be full out vegan! Kudos to the vegans out there!
