A fear of failure might as well be a fear of flying.
Hello my lovelies. Wow, this feels odd, I haven't posted in a little over two weeks, my longest hiatus since I've started blogging. I do apologize, which sometimes feels in vain, as I say I'll be better, I'll blog more, but can't seem to stick to my word. Sorry guys. :c
Failure. Failure is a grand fear of many of us, today I'd like to speak a bit on the subject. Yesterday, I went to get my learner's permit; if you've been following me since the beginning you'd know driving was big on my list of accomplishments of this year. Well guys, I'm shamed, and pretty darn embarrassed to say I didn't get my permit. For those of you who don't use the same driving regulations as we do in the States, before actually getting your drivers license you get your learners permit, unless you're eighteen or older, in which case you can get your license without a permit... I think. Either way, I don't have either.
Yes, a twenty year old who can't drive. Embarrassing right? Did I fail my test? No, I didn't. I didn't even take it. My father took me, and for one, the line at the DMV was literally out the door, which set my nerves on edge... and I honestly didn't feel ready. It might've been all the practice tests that shook me up, I don't know.. maybe I'm just making up excuses, which I probably am... either way I was too nervous to take a forty question quiz.
Again, to touch on the subject of failure. Yes I was feeling every bit of self doubt imaginable, which, more than likely is the real reason I didn't have the guts to take the test. I feared failing a simple quiz most fifteen year olds ace without the need to study. (If you've read this far comment SHE'S STEALING YOUR PENSION down below, Misfits obsessed, as always.) So my question to you my lovely readers, is how do you overcome any self doubt, fear of failure or any such experiences?
I'm all about positivity, happiness and good vibes... I'm still beating my self about about not spreading all those good vibes yesterday! Alas, yesterday is yesterday, today is today! Upon the embarrassing tiddle I experienced yesterday I decided to keep studying my handbook as well as using my online resources to muster up my confidence.
With this kind of embarrassing tale, I bid you adieu!

“For this I would have been damned forever. For this I would have given up everything.”
Hello my lovelies, my sincere apologies as I've been such an absentee blogger as of late. I am however, back now! c; A little update/excuse: LIFE HAPPENS. Not that I don't love blogging, but ya know, life catches up with you as well as time.
One of the main culprits for my absence:
I'm an avid reader, and once a good book has a hold of me there's no getting me back! Clockwork Princess, the last book in The Infernal Devices trilogy just came out last week, and you'd better believe I was at my nearest book section it was available!
Some might argue that my taste in literature is juvenile, as I've read at least four YA novels that will become movies this year... to those people: Sorry I'm not sorry!
I love getting lost in a great adventure, a sort of getaway from my blandly normal life. I'd love any other book recommendations. I'm not all teenage novels, as it would appear; I love to read things with depth as well! So my lovely followers what are you reading? Anything good I should pick up?
I've missed your feedback dearly!

READ ME! READ ME! READ ME! Are you reading me?
I for one take an interest in my fellow bloggers' posts. As the quote above reads "A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one."; in a weird way you live vicariously through other people's posts.. (hope that doesn't sound creepy) As a blogger, I know the effort put into writing text posts, and seeing lackluster comments is a poopoo feeling.
Fishing for followers is how I look at it. I am guilty of linking back my blog through my comments, but I'm not guilty of skimming through the pictures of a post for a quick comment. I've literally seen comments on some posts that are complete opposite of what the entire post is even about.
So my lovelies, just a reminder for you to read! Be decent enough to do it, and if not don't fish for followers by pretending to care. If you've read this far comment MONKEY SLUT, yes I was obsessed with Misfits at one point in time, hence the reference. This will be my little tester... Fun stuff, fun stuff (;

Bearer of.... My least favorite trends
Happy Monday my faithful readers, today I'd like to share some of the most popular, yet some of my least favorite trends a going around the globe. This post is only my humble opinion, and is not to be taken as offensive to your personal likes or sense of style. We can all agree to disagree here, right? Well, let us dig in!
1. Creepers
Creepers, creeped into the fashion scene mid last summer, I'd say. Celebs like Rihanna making them even more prominent I however don't care for them much, every now and then I see someone style them in a great manner, but I don't think I'd ever care to wear them. They don't suite me, and I for one, although I'm not graceful, like to be light on my feet! These shoes are just far too bulky for my liking. As the whole "hipster" scene fades into the "grunge" scene, I see this trend staying for a while longer.
2. Clear shoes
I've seen Louis Vuitton, Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin and contless other high end fashion designers with this trend. Although some shoes are very pretty, and can be easily styled with mostly any attire, this too, is not a trend I'm going to be mad over. There's a fine line between making something look extremely fashionable, and extremely tawdry, this trend flirts along that line. Like I said, some pieces are gorgeous, but I don't see myself look for anything inspired by these high end designers..
3. Rosy Pink Lipstick (Viva Glam Nicki in particular)
This color has been seen for quite some time, but to me it automatically, on sight makes me think, dare I say, "cheap Barbie doll". I just hate the look of the bright matte pink, especially because it can so easily clash with different skin tones. This is definitely a trend I would love to see fade out, no offense I'm just sick of seeing it.
4-5. Clear Bags
Clear bags, as well as clear shoes are taking the high end fashion world by storm. Flip open an issue of Harper's Bazaar or Vogue and you're sure to find some variation of this trend. Like I've said with the shoe trend, some pieces are gorgeous but still not totally to my liking. I like keeping my belongings personal, I'm not THAT open of a person for the world to peek inside my bag! I don't care for this trend, but can see why its so popular, it is darling, well in some cases. Again, I won't be on the lookout for any pieces inspired by this trend.
6. Fur Vests
Faux fur, real fur, it doesn't matter I'm still not a fan. I've seen this trend styled in many different ways, some looks very high fashion, some falling flat and looking a bit dodgy. Something about fur just screams bourgeois, old lady to me. I know this is seldom the case, as many young people rave, and love this trend; but I can't help but to picture a great great great aunt wearing a fur coat or vest with a huge broach on the breast. Call me insane but this is probably my most disliked trend in quite some time.
There you have it ladies. Like I said this is just my personal opinion, not to be taken to heart if you, yourself love these trends. I am no fashion editor of any sort, and I'm aware some of these pieces are very "in", but still I just wanted to give you my take. This is a platform of expression, and I just wanted to express my disdain for these trends. Maybe you'll agree with me, maybe you won't. If you don't that's okay. Our different likes and dislikes are what make us different, and alike at the same time. Again, Happy Monday, hope you have a great week!

NOTD: Pink Pastels & Glitter
I find myself saying "almost spring" in my most recent posts, but because it is "almost spring" I'm gravitating towards lighter tones. This NOTD is such a classic one I've seen on Instagram, Pinterest, weheartit, and tumblr. A simple nudie pastel pink with an glitter accent finger. You can never go wrong with that combo!
Revlon Petal Pusher/ Jafra Multi Glitter/ Bareminerals Starlight
I dusted on the bareMinerals eyecolor in Starlight on my middle finger, just to make the glitter pop, and cast a darker shade of a pale pink. What colors are you ladies enjoy this spring?
Have a great weekend! Happy Friday!
